Another great weekend of hockey saw the Philadelphia Flyers win both games to put them 2 points up on the dreadful Penguins for fourth spot in the Eastern Conference and still havin 3 games in hand. With the season winding down, it is crunch time for many teams planning on making a run for the cup. This is the time of year when the stars shine and we able to see some very entertaining hockey games. The Bullies take on Brodeur and the Devils tonite we will see how that turns out, the boys need it to keep ahead of the Pen's heading into the final couple of weeks.

Brodeur
It was nice to see Brodeur tie the wins record over the weekend. It was good to see him do it in basically his home town and the best part is when somebody beats the lowely Montreal Canadians, not even Bob Gainey could save them from the Devils. Maybe you should find another coach, or some different players, or better yet a new league to play in and a new city to play out of.

Grad 2009
40 dollars for a meal that didn't even fill me up?
+ 4 hours of listening to personal shout outs and thank yous, from speakers who admitted to
+ being the only nominees.
+ Inside jokes that know one understood,
+ key note speaker that flew right over my head with his speech about black boxes on airplanes.
+ $5 drinks.
= A drunken good time had by all

Using Technology in teaching ECMM 460
I will try and use a lot of technology during my teaching career. i would use it for showing videos for students such as you tube and expert village because there are so many instructional videos that would be better watching as a class than having a few students gather around myself as i give a demonstration. Motivational sets!!!!
Integrating a blog ECMM 460
My area of specialization is industrial arts, and i can think of a few ways to incorporate blogs into my class. First of all it could be used as a way to create tips and helpful hints on specific problems that students are having in the class, i could post them once and it would save the students from wasting class time to ask questions down the road. I also think that a blog may be a good way to keep the parents of my students informed on what is happening at school.
Webquest response
- The webquest will be for students in grade 10-11, in a history course, the web quest will act as and into. into the events leading up to world war one.
- http://www.sasked.gov.sk.ca/docs/history20/fram1_5.html, History 20, world war one.
- I believe this is an important topic because not a lot of people know the events leading up to the war, they know who won and what happened because of the war but don't know what ignited such a war.
-The web quest will act as atutorial for the students, they will do some readings or activities, then there will be questions or a project for the students to work on, as a way to get marks for their work.
-the web quest will be a combination between human and computer interaction, with students working in groups and finding out what to do on the computer, but there will be human interaction for some activities.
- http://www.firstworldwar.com/ (it acts as a search engine for everything dealing with the first world war.)
http://www.historyonthenet.com/ (this site has information as well as activities already created.)
http://www.worldwar1.com/ (internet history of ww1)
- I would like to evaluate each activity and wrap up the unit with a quiz or a larger group activity.

2009 Sip & Slip
This past weekend was time for the annual Hanley Golf course Sip and Slip Curling bonspiel. it was time everyone to throw on their stupidest looking outfits and prepare for a night of curling while trying not too split your head open on the ice. The night consists of 3, 2 end games based on a skins scoring system, 1 point for each end scored and 2 for as win for a possible 4 points per game. my team couldn't captures the coveted imaginary trophy this year as we were only able to capture 10 points, 1 behind the leader. needless to say everyone had a great time and it was another great fundraiser for our nine hole sand green golf course located in sunny Hanley Saskatchewan.
